A Soldier Speaks

Yom sheni, Rosh Chodesh, 1 Shevat 5769.

The Dearly Beloved and I got to spend yesterday with Soldier Boy and his bride.

He looks good.  They seem very happy to be "normal" again.
I have a lot to process about the war, and its aftermath.  But right now what my son has to say at his own blog, Through Josh-Colored Glasses, seems more important.  Please click on the link, and enjoy reading the soldier's impressions in his own voice.  Warning:  The guy just came back from a war.  There are some graphic images.
I'll save my thoughts for another time.

I read Josh's letter on Walid Shoebat's Newsletter I have received, well yesterday since it's already past midnight :). It was deeply moving. I liked Josh's emphasix on the prayer of those who love God and his word. I'm myself a German Christian and I live only an hour and a half away from Baltimore in the Harrisburg area. I'm so happy that I can contact you and tell you what a great writer you son is. The world needs to know and how much better than from someone who lives there and has to go through all of it. I have a good friend in Germany and even so she does not blame Israel but rather the UN, no matter how much I send to her her main answer is that religion causes all the wars. Needless to say she doesn't believe in God or any God and sadly feels freed from the confines of relgion embracing to be a modern woman who sees nothing wrong with the world's increasing immorality. God bless you and you son. I will keep you in my prayers as I do for all of Israel.
