In honor of them, and of our new IDF Paratrooper, I would like to share a short video. Thank you all for your service to our country.The following introduction is from my friend and fellow blogger, Devra, who writes several blogs under the nickname Ye'he Sh'mey Raba Mevorach.
If you haven't heard of the movie, Defiance, look it up and see it. Amazing true story of two brothers, the Bielskis. After the Nazis murder their parents and one brother they become partisans and, incidentally, save about 1200 Jews from the Nazis. The grandson of one of the Bielski brothers is now a chayal boded. This clip is an interview with him.

These kids are so inspiring. May they and all our soldiers stay safe as they defend our country.
Hats off to our upright soldiers! I'm so proud of and grateful to them all (especially my dear nephew, Aryeh). For those of us who don't wear a uniform, we also are soldiers...our mitzvahs, prayers and yiras shamayim, our ahavas yisrael and lashon hatov...these are our greatest weapons and protection. May Hashem accept them and favor us. May Hashem always be with our brave Jewish chayalim!
Thanks for posting this video. Seeing such a beautiful, young man willingly involving himself in his nations fight is admirable, and touching. May we know peaceful times soon, so such youth and innocence can best be used for creative ends, and not solely for defensive purposes.

Very moving. I've seen Defiance twice, and am planning to buy the DVD.
Kol hakavod to Elan and all his fellow chayalim. He is continuing the legacy of his grandfather, and due to people such as he, Am Yisrael Chai!
My youngest daughter, too, was a lone soldier. She was just discharged from active duty, as a Commander in Handassah Kravit.
I am very proud of her.

This young man reminds me of my baby cousin, both his guf and his neshama. I am so proud of him and all of the young men and women who are there in Eretz Yisroel fighting on behalf of all of klal yisroel. Words can never convey what I feel in my heart for them. Hashem should keep them safe so that they may continue to pave the way for the final redemption. May we all merit to see the coming of Moshiach speedily in our lifetimes. Thank you to Ruti for this spectacular blog and post!!!!
